The 4A/3A team race came down to the next to last match at 215 with No. 2 in the divisional rankings, Isaac Ogunlade, taking on top-ranked in the state and defending state champion, Jamil Morrow of Bowie.
Isaac needed a tech fall or a pin to pass Chesapeake of Anne Arundel County and claim the state title. A regular decision left us with Chesapeake holding off the Einstein push by a half point, 79-78.5. Josh Ogunlade, also No. 2 in 4A/3A, pulled off his own upset ahead of Isaac when he downed
No. 1 Vince Corso (Urbana). The only bonus points Einstein acquired in the final round were by Stone Yuen when he used a major decision to claim his second state crown in a row.
South Carroll went four-for-four in the finals to increase their lead over Huntingtown.

These were tabulated by pen and paper old school style, so we apologize if we missed any
teams that should be in the standings. Please let us know if we did. We started with a base of
teams to watch then expanded on the fly.
